ASIC Electrical Engineer – Digital Design

Position Summary:

Highly motivated ASIC design engineer who will be responsible for developing advanced digital circuits integrated within state-of-the-art image sensors for Forza Silicon products. Forza designs custom analog and digital in fine line CMOS and BICMOS processes. This position will interact closely with other circuit design engineers to optimize the performance of these circuits.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Architecture and design of digital circuits for image sensor ICs from concept to tape-out
  • HDL coding using Verilog, STA analysis, CDC checks, Lint checks, Code Coverage, RTL/gate level simulations & silicon debugging
  • Define detailed test plans and implement simulations to verify design functionality
  • Debug product, test and resolve design issues on hardware platforms
  • Collaborate with systems engineers on systems functionality and testing

Requirements & Minimum Education Level:

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related science (M.S. preferred)


  • Minimum of 3+ years of relevant design experience
  • Experience with ASIC design tools (Cadence, Mentor, Xilinx and Altera)
  • Knowledge in low power coding styles and techniques
  • Knowledge in languages relevant to the ASIC development process including SystemVerilog, TCL and Unix/Perl scripting
  • Knowledge of digital image processing
  • Knowledge of semiconductor devices and structures
  • Understanding of analog design basics

Required Skills:

  • Proficient in ASIC timing closure and clock domain crossing
  • Proficient in the Verilog language
  • Proficient in C/C++
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
